Welcome to Philadelphia’s Steaks & Hoagies. Since opening in 1987, they have established a reputation for outstanding food and, more recently, fine local hand-crafted beers. Philadelphia’s is owned by Steve and Amelia Moore. They opened down the street originally, where Papa Murphy’s is now located. They were there for 5 1/2 years. There were just the two of them for the first two years. They were open Monday – Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. The business slowly grew and in 1993 they purchased the building they are now in. They were closed for three months while they remodeled. They added the brewery in December 1994. The brewery was largely developed under the watchful eye of Andy Armstrong. Today They have 11 different beers on tap that are made here, giving them one of the largest selections of in house brewed beers available anywhere. They have received mentions at the oregon brewers festival a couple of years in a row. They believe that service is the only real foundation of business.
