Looking to eat well? Save time? Get fit? Farm to Fit conquers the checklist with an ingenious food delivery service that combines farm-fresh fare and calorie counting, making healthy eating a piece of cake. Recently celebrating five years of delivering fresh pre-fixed meals, Farm to Fit is a family-owned company that bridges the gap between convenience and local sourcing, offering weekly meal plans that are simple to prepare. Executive chef Chris Turke once hung his hat at Portland’s classic Ringside Steakhouse and now creates individually ordered meals that take customers on a culinary journey from sunup to sundown. Using locally purveyed vegetables from Sauvie Island and Stargazer Farms, Turke packages meals according to calorie count, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and basing weekly menus on seasonality and client feedback.

“We cook stews and heartier meals in fall and winter, opting for lighter fare and taking advantage of the beautiful Northwest bounty in the spring and summer,” Turke said. Ordering is online and easy, and while some food delivery services charge a hefty amount, Farm to Fit is incredibly affordable, roughly $25 per day for a five-day 1,200-calorie lunch + dinner plan. Meals come in a cooler bag, delivered to work or home, and portions are labeled and ready to reheat. Farm to Fit currently serves the Portland metro and surrounding areas as well as Salem, and will soon expand into Washington.
