It’s Super Bowl time again! The best thing about this Sunday is all the great food that has become synonymous with a great Super Bowl party! “Faux” holidays like this one give us all an opportunity to indulge in tasty game-time foods like nachos, hot wings and lots of cold beer. Because my family lived in Boston for three years, we became fans of the Patriots. To tell you the truth, though, I just love to watch the commercials! Make these tasty wings for your guests, or bring them along with you to a friend’s house for their Super Bowl get together. I guarantee they will be a big hit!

Tasty Teriyaki Chicken Wings

2 cups thin style teriyaki sauce (such as Kikkoman)

Juice of two lemons

2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons Mirin (found in good Asian section)

1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon hot chili paste–such as Sriracha (optional)

2 lbs chicken Wings

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add the first seven ingredients to a 13×9 inch baking dish and mix well. Add all the wings in a single layer and turn to coat with sauce. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes. Remove dish from oven and turn over all the wings. Continue to bake for an additional 45 minutes or until wings are deep mahogany colored and are falling off the bone. Remove to serving platter and garnish with chopped green onion.
